This year's theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination."
today I wanted to share with you the breathtakingly beautiful on theme outfits that graced the Met Gala this year.
everything about Zendaya is honestly perfection and her Joan of the Arc inspired dress designed by Versace was gorgeous! her makeup also complimented the look so well.
Lilly Collins in Givenchy. Lilly looked so elegant in this look. there's something so simple and chic about this that draws me in. And the cross she's holding is the perfect detail! her makeup was inspired by the dark arts and it looks so beautiful with the Versace dress!
I MEAN COME ON! ... no, but Rihanna can seriously do no wrong. Dressed by John Galliano, Rihanna looks bomb. From the amazing beaded headpiece down to those gorgeous Louboutin's.
Chadwick Boseman dressed in Versace, come thruuuuuu my king! looking like a fine ass pope.
Sza looked so angelic in this dusty rose Versace dress. A literal goddess!
and last but DEFINITELY not least, Blake Lively in Versace. This was my favorite look out of all of the lovely looks from the Met Gala, she looks like a queen, and kill's it every year, but this year.. just wow. I literally held my breath when I saw her in this dress. She looks stunning.
there was sooo many more look's that I adored! but I didn't want to make this post too long, plus I'd be here for ages. basically, Versace honestly killed it with the looks they provided. As I was gathering pictures of the looks I realized that most of my favorites were Versace haha.
Anyway's that's it! what was your favorite look from the Met Gala?
Hey, my lovelies!

1. A Country Called Home
This movie has at the most, 3 stars from people and i honestly just don't get it. I really loved this movie! This movie, in short, is about a a girl named Ellie (Imogen Poots) has to return to her small hometown in Texas after her estranged Father passes away, and has to clean up the mess he left behind. She meets family she never even knew she had, and so many other interesting people. There's drama, sadness, and there's a little bit of humor thrown into the mix.
2. Palm Trees In The Snow
This. Movie. Is. So. Amazing
I went on such an emotional roller coaster whilst watching this film, and by the end i was wanting to watch it all over again! Now i do have to put a little warning in here, this movie is an Spanish, as well contains a lot of violence, and theres quite a bit of sexual content so if you're not into that stuff, feel free not to watch.
This movie is both a romantic and historic journey. It's so intense, and the filming and all the actors were brilliant. This film follows the journey of a woman, who after the death of her father discovers a part of a letter that leaves her with so many unanswered questions and as she decides to search for answers, she takes a journey to the African Island in Spanish Guinee, Fernando Poo, and learns all the secrets of her family.
3. 6 Years
Don't we all love a good teenage love story? Because i know i do.
This movie follows a teenage couple that has been together for 6 years, and now approaching college and huge life changes that threaten their future together.
A lot, of people don't like this movie because it 'romanticizes abusive relationships' but i don't think with this movie that was the case at all, if anything it showed how a woman can be the abuser just as well as the man, it show's how toxic some relationships get. This movie definitely gave me a good cry. There was so much raw emotion in this movie, and almost felt like i was peeking in on private moments, this film seemed so real, it shows the real pain and emotional toll an unhealthy relationship can have. The actors did an amazing job, and i mean i love Taissa Farmiga soo much more after this.
4. In Your Eyes
I'm not too sure if i really love or really hate this movie.. but none the less you have to watch it for yourself and decided It's super interesting, and funny, and original. But on occasion it has it's really bad acting moments, and super awkward and cringey moments. It has such an original concept which i think is super cool. Basically it's about these two strangers on opposite ends of the country who have this telepathic link with each other, that allows each of them to see what the other person is doing.
5. Time Lapse
I wanted to end this post with a thriller, since most of these were more romantic centered films.
This film is about 3 friends who discover this machine that takes photos 24 hours into the future, which they then use for their own personal agendas until some very disturbing and dangerous images develop
I throughly enjoyed every minute of this little sci-fi thriller, there were so many twists and turns that definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. This movie does have a lot of drugs, alcohol, sex, profanity, and bloody violence, and murder. it's very much a movie you have to be in the mood for, with it's twilight-zone feel.
i love strolling around town whilst the snow is coming down and it seems as if i'm the only person outside. I decided to capture some of the things i've seen around on my evening strolls to give a glimpse as to why i love it so much.

This easy to navigate photo sharing app that has blown up completely is one of my favorite things to spend my down time on, and well.. all my time on. I don't think there is a right way to Instagram. But i do know that aesthetically, visually appealing, cohesive feed will more than likely get people to follow and like your photos than others who just post anything with no sort of plan or thought.
I take a lot of photos on my DSLR, but i also take just as much on my iPhone. Usually i edit my dslr photos with lightroom, so for these photos are just going to be taken on my iPhone and edited on my iPhone as well/
But enough about others. I'm here to share my current way (i say current way because i never can seem to stick with a theme or filter for too long.) of editing my Instagram photos. Now, i do have more than one IG account, but i'm going to focus on me personal account.
My General Tips
Lighting is key.
lighting is what can totally transform a photo from okay to amazing.
I tend to surround myself by similar themed things so that's why it's pretty simple for me to keep a theme. Whether it be my wardrobe, my room, and other things that are appealing to me, they're all similar in some ways. Find what makes you happy and find what you like, don't focus on trying to be or do something somebody else is doing. take photos of what you like.
Apps I Use
In total, i only use 3 apps (not including Instagram). Those to apps are Vsco cam, Face tune, and Snapseed. I'm 90% sure most of you have heard of those three apps considering they're probably the most common.
Before i start the filter process i ALWAYS touch up my photos. For my selfies, i never manipulate my body in any way, but i do like to smooth out my skin and get rid of some of my blemishes. Don't judge! you know we all do it. I also use face tune to whiten the already white parts of my photos.
Now onto other photo's that aren't selfies, after i take the photo through face tune, i move onto snap seed. When in snap seed i tune the image to my liking and just kind of fix it up a bit. I give the photo's more detail, and use the selective tool to brighten and de-saturate parts of the photo.
VSCO Cam, where all the magic happens. this app is literally like my baby. I've been using it for years and don't really ever see my self not using it. I do like to play with a whole bunch of editing and filter apps, but this is always my favorite one.
The photos above are basically the settings that i use on all of my photos. I say 'basically' because every photo is different and needs different settings. A photo of my food, for example is going to have different settings than a selfie would have. I just adjust everything according to how it looks on my photos.
The last app i run it through is good 'ol Instagram. I feel like i lot of people take for granted the amazing editing that that Instagram the app actually has. I use it to put the finishing touches on my photos.
So that is basically it for my editing on my personal Instagram account, go follow me if you'd like! If you have any questions just ask me!
